General description:

The wireless set no.31 is a portable low-power frequency-modulated transmitter-receiver for short-range R/T communication. The set is entriely self-contained, one unit containing sender, receiver, and batteries.

The frequency range covers 40 to 48 Mc/s, and is divided into 41 channels, each channel being separated by 200 kc/s. Four of the channels are marked A, B, C and D on the dial, and correspond with those of the W.S.88 to allow inter-working. The tuning dial is calibrated 0-40 which corresponds to the 41 channels available.
