General description:

The No.46 set is a portable sender-receiver which is normally transported as a manpack. The set is designed for R/T and M.C.W. communication over a frequency range of 3.6 to 9.1 Mc/s in four bands by means of plug-in coils as follows:

1.  3.6 - 4.3 Mc/s
2.  5.0 - 6.0 Mc/s
3.  6.4 - 7.6 Mc/s
4.  7.9 - 9.1 Mc/s

Any one of these bands may be selected by plugging in the appropriate coils and three pre-selected crystal controlled frequencies on any one of these bands can be selected by means of the channel switch. These three channels are tuned by means of three trimmer capacitors which must be adjusted by properly qualified personnel only.
