General description:

The W.S. no.88 is a tropicalised portable man-pack transmitter-receiver using frequency-modulated R/T. There are two types of 88 set, both operating on four pre-set frequencies, one 40 - 43 Mc/s band (Type A) and the other in the 38 - 40 Mc/s band (Type B). Any one of the four channels is instantly available by means of the channel selector switch on the control panel.
